What this service is
Traderbot reads public filings from the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and the Clerk of the House of Representatives, stores daily closing prices from a market data vendor, and runs rule-based strategies against both on a simulated account.
The account
An account needs an e-mail address and a password. One person may hold one account. The balance on it is simulated and carries no claim on Traderbot or on anyone else. Closing the account removes the address from the records; the ledger lines stay, holding the account number and no personal data.
The one percent
A commission of one percent is applied to every operation that moves money on the account: a deposit, a withdrawal, a purchase, a sale and a payment into a saving plan. It is deducted at the moment of the operation and written as its own ledger line.
What you may not do
Automated collection of pages beyond what the robots file allows, attempts to reach another person's account, and resale of the mirror data as a feed of your own are all out of bounds. The underlying filings are public and can be taken from the sources named on every row.
Availability
The service runs on one server and can be down for maintenance or because a data source stops answering. When a price is stale, an order is refused rather than filled at a wrong number.
